It’s been funny watching reactions to the debate in the last few days. Donald J. Trump is the ride or die of about 60% of Republicans, and the party that fully coalesced around him after being convicted of 34 felonies saw him articulate the policies that got him elected in 2016. The rest of the country saw a former President they thought was a nightmare clobber an aging globalist with a frighteningly obvious case of irreversible dementia fail to say anything meaningful and boldly declare, “We beat Medicare!” And then there’s the 1% of shifty Democratic hacks telling their one joke: if you don’t ignore your eyes and ears, you’re a Nazi in all but name.
Democratic operative David Axelrod proclaimed on CNN’s after show that Biden is the candidate Democratic voters nominated, so there’s no question they want him. Earth to Mr. Axelrod, literally none of those voters knew the President’s cognition was this deleterious. “Only Biden can beat Trump though!” Other Democratic leaders screech at the top of their lungs while giving your eyeballs papercuts from polls showing 45% Biden / 48% Trump… And also between 43%-45% for a dozen other Democrats. Kamala Harris has equivalent name ID.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is a far wealthier billionaire than Trump who could literally buy the election tomorrow, especially as the VP on a Harris ticket. Democrats are going to continue doing what they do best, telling economically disadvantaged and worried Americans to get bent, while Republicans will stick with the man our Party nominated all the way to the White House.
States with higher Republican than Democratic turnout this year give Trump 283 electoral votes. Twice as many Republicans (26 million) as Democrats (13 million) voted in the Primaries. I did not expect to say this a year ago, but I believe Donald Trump will be the second President elected to a non-consecutive term.
