December 1, 2023 – National Weather Service: Heavy Cascade Snow, Heavy Rain, and Potential River Flooding Thursday into early Next Week

• A series of atmospheric rivers will bring widespread moderate to heavy rain Friday through Tuesday, with heavy Cascade snow on Friday and early Saturday
• Several rounds of heavy rain, combined with mountain snowmelt, will significantly increase the chance of river flooding along all rivers except the mainstem Willamette and Columbia Rivers
• Significant winter weather travel impacts will occur along the Cascade passes, however snow levels will rise above pass level on Sunday as the airmass warms
• Multiple fronts will produce Gale Force wind gusts with hazardous seas across the waters into early next week
