
September 29, 2023 – Oregon Association of Municipal Recorders: SODAVILLE CITY RECORDER ALEX McHADDAD INSTALLED AS OAMR TREASURER
The Oregon Association of Municipal Recorders (OAMR) recently installed Sodaville City Administrator/Recorder Alex McHaddad as 2023-2024 OAMR Treasurer. Mr. McHaddad received the oath at Spirit Mountain Lodge in Grand Ronde, Oregon, on September 22, 2023.
Mr. McHaddad has been an active member of OAMR since 2022. He has served on numerous committees, including the Audit Committee, City Recorder Procedure’s Manual Committee, Historical Preservation Committee, Legislative Committee, Mentoring Committee, and Records Management Committee. He also served the remainder of a term for OAMR Region II Director in 2022. He is actively pursuing his Certified Municipal Clerks (CMC) designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
Mr. McHaddad has worked for the City of Sodaville since March 2022. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director of a special district in northeast Oregon, Legislative Aide for Eastern Oregon University during the 2017 Legislative Session, as well as serving on numerous local, state, and federal committees at the La Grande School District, Baker and Union counties, the Higher Education Coordinating Commission, and the Federal Communications Commission.
OAMR is a professional organization dedicated to promoting governmental relationships and providing educational and training opportunities for over 200 Oregon city recorders statewide.
