When the Biden Border Crisis first began, Speaker Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans warned President Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas that the consequences of the administration’s actions would create chaos throughout the country.
Within months of earning the majority, House Republicans passed H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act, the strongest border security bill passed by any chamber of Congress this century. But Leader Schumer and Senate Democrats continue to ignore the crisis and the toll it has taken on American communities.
Now, even blue cities and states are clamoring for relief. Despite being a proud sanctuary city, New York City recently took the unprecedented step of distributing fliers at the border telling individuals not to go to NYC.
Just this week, the Democrat Governor of Massachusetts, Maura Healey, was forced to call a state of emergency because of the strain that Democrats’ open-border policies have had on state and local communities.
But previously, Healey said “If they want to take on a sanctuary city designation, I think that’s great.”

A pattern is emerging. Democrat-controlled cities advocate and cheer for policies that have created the current crisis. But when the consequences come for them, they cry out for help.
With over 130,000 encounters at the border in July, it’s clear the Biden administration’s failure at the border is getting worse, not better.
Do Congressional Democrats agree with the Democrat governor in Massachusetts that their open-border policies have caused a state of emergency?
