Oregon City Man Indicted on Six Counts in Lane County Child Luring Investigation
An Oregon City man has been indicted on six felony counts following an investigation into the alleged online luring of a minor and sexual corruption involving a Lane County victim.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) said detectives working with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force began investigating the case in September 2026.
Investigators identified the suspect as Cody Allen Hinze, 28, of Oregon City. According to the sheriff’s office, Hinze had previously been released from prison early in July 2026 after serving a sentence for similar offenses.
On October 20, 2026, Hinze was taken back into custody with assistance from Clackamas County Parole and Probation.
A Lane County Grand Jury indicted Hinze on October 30 on six counts of Luring a Minor and Attempted Use of a Child in a Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct.
The investigation remains active, and detectives believe additional victims may exist.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the investigation or who believes they may have been victimized by Hinze to contact detectives at 541-682-4150.
