Salem Police Arrest Man After Northeast Salem Firearms Search

SALEM, Ore. — Salem police arrested a 22-year-old Salem man Wednesday after serving a search warrant at a northeast Salem residence as part of an investigation into illegal firearms and firearm accessories.

The Salem Police SWAT Team served the warrant at approximately 5:30 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home in the 3300 block of Fairhaven Avenue NE. Officers took Parker Burzio, 22, into custody at the residence.

During the search, police seized three handguns along with multiple firearm parts and accessories.

Burzio was lodged in the Marion County Jail on multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle, and unlawful transport, manufacture, transfer or possession of a rapid-fire activator.

The investigation remains ongoing. Further inquiries regarding the case should be directed to the Marion County District Attorney’s Office.
