Man Dies in Apparent Self-Inflicted Shooting in Redmond

REDMOND, Ore. — Redmond police are investigating the death of an adult man who was found with a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound Monday afternoon.

The Redmond Police Department responded at approximately 1:20 p.m. Sept. 21 to a report of a gunshot in the area of the 900 block of SW Rimrock Way. Officers arrived within three minutes and found the man deceased inside a building.

Police said the initial investigation indicates the death was non-suspicious and that there is no threat to the public. Investigators said there are no outstanding suspects.

The man’s next of kin has been notified.

Police asked people to avoid the area while emergency personnel conduct their investigation and access the scene.
