Pick It Up, Bend! Returns September 27 with Community Cleanup and Chance to Win Jack Johnson Concert Tickets

Portland, Ore., September 16, 2026 – Following a successful inaugural event in 2025, SOLVE is bringing Pick It Up, Bend! back to the community on Sunday, September 27, from 10 am to noon. Volunteers will gather at the Old Mill District for a litter cleanup, with all participating volunteers entered into a free drawing for two tickets to the sold-out Jack Johnson concert that evening.

Individuals, families, businesses, and community organizations are invited to take part in the cleanup and help create a visible, immediate impact on some of Bend’s most popular community spaces. Volunteers will spread throughout the Old Mill District to remove litter and help keep these shared spaces clean and welcoming.

This year’s event also continues SOLVE’s partnership with the Johnson Ohana Foundation and Jack Johnson’s All At Once community. Following the cleanup, SOLVE will participate as a Village Green partner at the Jack Johnson concert that evening, connecting a morning of community action with an evening focused on music, community, and the environment.

“Pick It Up! continues to grow because communities are ready to come together and take action in the places they call home,” said Kris Carico, CEO of SOLVE. “We’re excited to bring the series back to Bend for a second year and to continue building our partnership with the Johnson Ohana Foundation. It’s a great opportunity to connect local volunteers with a broader movement that shows how community action can make a difference.”

As an added part of the day, all participating volunteers will be entered into a free drawing for two tickets to the Jack Johnson concert. SOLVE will also be joined by Stio, providing snacks and beverages for volunteers.
