Lakeside Man Sentenced to More Than Four Years in Federal Prison for Methamphetamine Trafficking
EUGENE, Ore. — A Lakeside man has been sentenced to more than four years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute it.
Bradley Vernon Mullanix, 50, was sentenced Tuesday to 51 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release, according to U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford for the District of Oregon.
Court documents state that on Feb. 5, Mullanix purchased approximately two pounds of methamphetamine from an undercover agent whom he believed was a drug dealer. Mullanix paid $2,400 for the drugs and intended to resell them, prosecutors said.
Mullanix was arrested after placing the methamphetamine on a scale.
The case also involved Mullanix’s previous illegal possession and sale of firearms. In June 2024, investigators said Mullanix sold firearms to a confidential informant. The firearms were later seized by law enforcement and are subject to forfeiture.
On Feb. 6, 2025, Mullanix was charged by criminal complaint with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Mullanix pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine on May 14, 2026.
The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Huynh prosecuted the case.
