SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Two adults and a child were displaced after an RV caught fire early Wednesday morning at Eugene Mobile Village in Springfield’s Glenwood neighborhood.
Eugene Springfield Fire responded to the fire at approximately 1:27 a.m. after receiving reports of flames coming through the roof of an RV trailer. Engine 4, responding from the 5th Avenue and Centennial Boulevard station, was the first to arrive and reported a working fire.
Firefighters quickly began extinguishing the blaze while conducting a primary search of the trailer. During the search, crews rescued a cat and a dog from inside the RV. Paramedics treated both pets at the scene, and they survived the fire. The animals are now in the care of their owner.
The fire displaced two adults and one child, who are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Eugene Springfield Fire.
