LANE COUNTY, Ore. — A 54-year-old Junction City man was killed Wednesday night in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Alvadore Road, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched at approximately 9:00 p.m. on July 1 to the 93100 block of Alvadore Road following reports of a motorcycle crash involving a single rider.
Deputies responded alongside firefighters from Lane Fire Authority and Junction City Fire. Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures after arriving at the scene, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead.
The rider was identified as Jerry Dean Paul, 54, of Junction City.
Investigators processed the crash scene, and the motorcycle was towed to a secure storage facility for further examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities said the cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office thanked Lane Fire Authority and Junction City Fire for their assistance in responding to and investigating the fatal crash.
