Hood River, Ore. — June 9, 2026 — A multi-agency investigation in the Columbia River Gorge region has led to the arrest and arraignment of a The Dalles man facing dozens of felony charges tied to allegations of violent and drug-related offenses.
Bryan Matthew McGeeney, 47, of The Dalles, was arrested on June 5, 2026, by the Hood River City Police in connection with an investigation conducted jointly with the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbia Gorge Major Crimes Taskforce. He is currently being held at NORCOR on a total of 46 charges.
McGeeney was arraigned on June 8, 2026, on a wide range of felony counts, including Rape in the First Degree, Rape in the Third Degree, Sodomy in the First Degree, Sodomy in the Third Degree, Trafficking in Persons, and Delivery of Cocaine to a Minor. According to investigators, the charges stem from a report made to the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office, followed by a coordinated multi-agency investigation.
Authorities said the case was presented to a grand jury, which issued a secret indictment and subsequent arrest warrant for McGeeney. Law enforcement officials have not released additional details regarding the underlying allegations due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
The Columbia Gorge Major Crimes Taskforce is continuing to investigate the case and is asking for the public’s assistance.
