PRINEVILLE, Ore. — An RV was destroyed in a fire Sunday evening in the 1900 block of Northwest Industrial Park Road, according to Crook County Fire and Rescue.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:36 p.m. on May 10. Crews arrived to find the recreational vehicle engulfed in flames and worked quickly to keep the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
Officials said one person was staying inside the RV at the time of the fire but was able to escape without injury.
The RV was declared a total loss.
Crook County Fire and Rescue was assisted at the scene by the Crook County Sheriff’s Office and the Prineville Police Department.
Investigators determined the fire was accidental and was likely caused by a failure in a plug strip inside the RV.
