CROOK COUNTY, Ore. (April 27, 2026) — A Prineville man was killed Friday night in a single-vehicle crash involving a bicyclist on Highway 380, according to Oregon State Police.
Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 10:59 p.m. on April 24 near milepost 0.60 on Combs Flat Road, close to Southeast 5th Street in Prineville.
A preliminary investigation found that a white Ford Expedition, driven by 36-year-old Abigail Marie Hedges of Prineville, was traveling southbound when it struck a bicyclist, identified as 57-year-old Monte Scott Greene, also of Prineville.
Greene was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hedges was not injured in the crash. Investigators said impairment is suspected to have been a contributing factor, and Hedges was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII).
The crash remains under investigation.
Highway 380 was impacted for approximately four hours while crews conducted the on-scene investigation.
Oregon State Police were assisted by the Prineville Police Department, Crook County Sheriff’s Office, Prineville Fire Department, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
