HILLSBORO, Ore. — March 30, 2026

Two teenagers were detained following a late-night shooting at a large party in rural Washington County that left two people injured, authorities said.

Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at approximately 11:23 p.m. Saturday, March 28, to a property in the 15200 block of Southwest Holly Hill Road in unincorporated Hillsboro. Callers reported a gathering of 100 to 200 juveniles, many of whom were allegedly consuming alcohol.

While deputies were en route, additional reports indicated that some partygoers were armed. As the first deputy arrived, gunfire was heard, and multiple 911 callers reported that at least two individuals had been shot.

Authorities said the combination of rough terrain, a large crowd, and an active shooting prompted a significant law enforcement response. Multiple individuals were detained as officers worked to secure the scene. The two victims were transported by ambulance and are expected to survive, with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Detectives from the sheriff’s Violent Crimes Unit, along with the Washington County Major Crimes Team, are leading the investigation. Assistance was also provided by federal agents, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. An explosives detection K9 named Moby located a pistol near the scene, officials said.

Investigators identified two suspects detained at the scene as being involved in the shooting. According to the county’s juvenile department, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy are in custody in connection with the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released additional details.

The sheriff’s office credited several agencies for assisting in the response, including police departments from Beaverton, Cornelius, Forest Grove, Hillsboro, Sherwood, and Tigard, as well as the Oregon State Police.

Detectives believe additional witnesses may have left the scene before law enforcement arrived. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Investigations Division at 503-846-2500 and reference case number 50-26-4267.
