Josephine County, OR. — Josephine County officials announced that the county’s emergency manager has stepped down from the position, effective immediately.
County leaders emphasized that emergency services will continue without interruption. Josephine County Sheriff Dave Daniel has agreed to temporarily assume the role while the county begins the process of selecting a permanent replacement.
Officials also noted that the City of Grants Pass has offered support during the transition, reinforcing coordination across local agencies.
The Board of Commissioners stated that existing partnerships among emergency response organizations remain strong and will continue to ensure preparedness, response, and coordination throughout the county.
County leaders reassured residents that public safety remains their top priority and that dedicated personnel are fully committed to maintaining service levels.
