Portland, OR. — A Portland man has been sentenced to more than 24 years in federal prison for sex trafficking three minor victims across Oregon and Washington.
Eric Lamont Harris, 51, was sentenced to 292 months in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release.
According to court documents, Harris began trafficking a 15-year-old girl in the spring of 2022. The victim, who was a ward of the state, had been reported missing in March of that year. In June 2022, Harris began trafficking a 16-year-old girl. The following month, he transported both minors from Portland to Kennewick, Washington, where he booked a hotel room and arranged for them to engage in commercial sex acts.
After the 16-year-old’s parents reported her missing, the FBI and Kennewick Police Department located and recovered both girls in Kennewick.
In June 2022, Harris met a 17-year-old girl and began trafficking her in August 2022.
Court records state that each victim lived with Harris while he trafficked them. He arranged hotel rooms for commercial sex encounters, transported the minors to and from those meetings, helped post online escort advertisements featuring the victims, and collected thousands of dollars in proceeds.
On Sept. 16, 2025, a federal grand jury in Portland returned an eight-count second superseding indictment charging Harris with transportation with intent to engage in prostitution, three counts of sex trafficking of a child, three counts of sex trafficking of a child — benefitting from participation in a venture, and sexual exploitation of children.
Harris pleaded guilty to all eight counts on Nov. 6, 2025, on the fourth day of his scheduled 10-day trial.
The case was investigated by the FBI, the Portland Police Bureau, the Kennewick Police Department, and the Medford Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Charlotte Kelley and Robert Trisotto prosecuted the case as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative launched in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
