Lane County, OR. — A 25-year-old Creswell woman was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly breaking into a home and assaulting an elderly resident, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 7 a.m. on February 26 to the 200 block of Creswood Drive in Creswell following reports of a disorderly subject. Initial callers reported that Aiyana Elizabeth Roy was outside naked, possibly injured, and causing a disturbance.
As deputies arrived, Roy reportedly forced her way into a nearby residence and assaulted an elderly occupant, causing significant injuries. A deputy deployed a Taser and detained Roy at the scene. Authorities said Roy also sustained injuries during the incident.
Deputies also contacted a man in a neighboring home who had reportedly been injured by Roy before law enforcement arrived.
Emergency medical personnel treated the victims at the scene. Roy was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment before being taken into custody.
Following further investigation, Roy was lodged at the Lane County Jail on charges including first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, second-degree criminal mischief, and first-degree criminal trespass.
The incident remains under investigation.
