Dallas, OR. – A 48-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to 75 months in prison after pleading guilty to attempted sodomy in the first degree and failing to register as a sex offender.
Troy Louis Meza was sentenced Feb. 13, 2026, in Polk County Circuit Court before Judge Rafael A. Caso. In addition to the 6 years and 3 months in prison, Meza will serve 24 months of post-prison supervision.
The attempted sodomy charge stems from a 2023 incident involving a 13-year-old victim. Prosecutors said the offense occurred when the victim was under the age of 14.
The second charge involved Meza’s failure to keep his address current with Oregon’s sex offender registry. Court records indicate he was required to register due to a prior conviction for second-degree sex abuse.
Meza entered guilty pleas to both charges prior to sentencing. The case was prosecuted in Polk County Circuit Court.
