Lane County, OR. — A 64-year-old Port Orford man died Monday morning following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 58 in Lane County, according to Oregon State Police.
Troopers responded at approximately 8:57 a.m. on Jan. 12 to the eastbound lanes near milepost 40. A preliminary investigation indicates a Ford F-250 driven by Aaron Henry Longton lost control and rolled into a roadside ditch. Longton, the sole occupant, was ejected during the rollover.
He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Authorities said the highway was not impacted during the on-scene investigation. OSP was assisted by Oakridge Fire and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
