Oregon — The Department of Homeland Security is expanding its voluntary self-deportation efforts this holiday season by offering financial incentives and travel assistance to illegal aliens who agree to return to their home countries.
Under a limited-time offer, illegal aliens who sign up to self-deport using the CBP Home app by the end of the year will receive a $3,000 stipend in addition to a free, government-funded flight home. Participants will also qualify for forgiveness of any civil fines or penalties associated with failing to depart the United States.
“Since January 2025, 1.9 million illegal aliens have voluntarily self-deported and tens of thousands have used the CBP Home program,” said Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. “During the Christmas season, the U.S. taxpayer is so generously tripling the incentive to leave voluntarily for those in this country illegally—offering a $3,000 exit bonus, but just until the end of the year.”
Noem warned that illegal aliens who do not take advantage of the program face enforcement consequences. “If they don’t, we will find them, we will arrest them, and they will never return,” she said.
According to DHS, self-deportation through the CBP Home app is designed to be a fast and streamlined process. Individuals download the app, submit their information, and DHS coordinates and pays for their return travel.
DHS officials emphasized that illegal aliens who decline the voluntary option will be subject to arrest, deportation, and permanent ineligibility to reenter the United States.

Wow, this almost leaves me speechless as I’m absolutely furious upon reading this article! So let me get this straight & please someone correct me if I’m wrong…but because kotek has declared Oregon a ‘sanctuary state’ & has made it perfectly clear that she will fight President Trump at every possible opportunity givin, including cooperating & working with ICE to deport illegals who are here in our state…yet instead she would rather use Oregonians tax dollars to pay for plane tickets to get these people out of here…who, lets not forget, have already broken laws to be here in the first place, have used & drained resources from legal citizens here in Oregon (including but not limited to: housing, jobs, benefits, etc.) & a majority of whom have committed crimes of all magnitudes while residing here …but here you go, here’s a free plane ticket + $3,000 to go back to where you came from…
