Lincoln County, OR. — A 55-year-old Seal Rock man has been arrested and booked into the Lincoln County Jail on multiple charges involving child sexual abuse material, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.
Larry Clunette Boles Jr. faces charges of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and Second Degree under ORS 163.684 and ORS 163.686. His arrest follows the conclusion of an extensive investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit, with assistance from the Lincoln City Police Department, Oregon State Police, Toledo Police, Newport Police, and the Oregon Department of Justice’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
The case began when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip from an electronic service provider that detected suspected child sexual abuse material being distributed on its platform. NCMEC forwarded the information to law enforcement, prompting investigators to issue subpoenas and search warrants for Boles’ electronic devices.
Detectives say those devices contained evidence of both possession and distribution of CSAM.
“The distribution of images depicting the sexual abuse of children revictimizes individuals who have already endured significant trauma,” said Detective Anthony Bettencourt. “We are committed to thoroughly investigating these crimes and pursuing justice for the victims.”
The Sheriff’s Office thanked partner agencies for their cooperation and ongoing work to protect vulnerable members of the community.
