Lincoln City, OR. — A 32-year-old Lincoln City man with active arrest warrants was taken into custody Tuesday after attempting to flee from police by car and on foot, according to the Lincoln City Police Department.
On November 18, 2025, officers located Selvin Fajardo Landa—wanted on multiple warrants, including a felony weapons offense—driving near SW Harbor Avenue and SW Bard Road. When officers attempted a traffic stop, Fajardo Landa sped away at a high rate of speed.
He later abandoned his vehicle and fled into the Agnes Creek Open Space. K9 Nix and her handler pursued him on foot until Fajardo Landa surrendered.
He was arrested and booked into the Lincoln County Jail on his outstanding warrants, along with new charges of Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, and two counts of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police. No injuries were reported.
The department thanked community members for their continued support of its K9 Program, noting that the presence of K9 partners has led to many peaceful surrenders in recent years.
