Oregon Law enforcement agencies across Multnomah, Clackamas, and Clark counties executed three simultaneous search warrants this week, seizing more than 14 pounds of illegal drugs, two firearms, and thousands of dollars in cash as part of an ongoing multi-agency narcotics investigation.
The coordinated action stems from a joint effort between the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Dangerous Drug Team (DDT) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). According to MCSO, the investigation targets alleged criminal activity involving multiple individuals across state lines.
Search warrants were served at locations in Portland, Milwaukie, and Vancouver, Washington.
Multiple agencies assisted in the operation, including the FBI, Port of Portland Police, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), and U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
During the searches, investigators recovered:
- 3.5 pounds of methamphetamine
- 7 pounds of cocaine
- Approximately 6,500 Xanax bars
- Hundreds of LSD tablets
- More than 2.5 pounds of mushrooms
- Nearly 122 grams of powdered and 70 milliliters of liquid ketamine
- Nearly one pound of MDMA (ecstasy)
- One handgun
- One shotgun
- Thousands of dollars in cash
Two individuals have been taken into custody. Federal charges are anticipated, though authorities have not released names or specific warrant locations due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
The MCSO Dangerous Drug Team operates as a multi-jurisdictional task force focused on identifying, disrupting, and dismantling drug trafficking organizations operating locally, across state lines, and internationally. The team is supported by the Oregon-Idaho High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program and includes members from MCSO, Gresham Police, the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service, and analysts from the Oregon National Guard.
Officials note that released information reflects preliminary findings and may change as the investigation evolves. A photo of the seized evidence has also been made available for media use with credit to MCSO.
