Redmond, OR. — Redmond Fire & Rescue announced Friday that it is partnering with the Kiwanis Club of Redmond for this year’s community food drive, an effort aimed at helping local families facing food insecurity during the holiday season.
The drive runs through December 31, with donations accepted at the agency’s downtown station at 341 NW Dogwood Ave. Community members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, including canned goods, pasta, rice, and boxed meals.
“Our mission goes beyond emergency response—we’re committed to supporting the community in every way we can,” said Ryan Herrera, Fire Chief of Redmond Fire & Rescue. “Partnering with the Kiwanis Club of Redmond allows us to make a real difference for families during the holidays.”
The Kiwanis Club, known for decades of community service in Redmond, said the collaboration will help ensure families have access to meals throughout the holiday season.
How to Help:
• Drop off non-perishable food items at Redmond Fire & Rescue’s downtown station.
• Share the food drive information on social media to expand community support.
