Oregon — Christine Drazan has been appointed to the Oregon Senate by the Boards of Commissioners from Clackamas, Multnomah, Hood River, and Wasco counties. She will represent District 26, filling the vacancy left by former Senator Daniel Bonham (R-The Dalles), who resigned earlier this month.
The joint session of commissioners to interview candidates and make the appointment was held earlier today via Zoom and will be archived on the Clackamas County YouTube Channel. Under Oregon law, county commissioners representing the affected district must fill legislative vacancies, selecting from finalists nominated by the local political party of the departing legislator.
Senate Republican Leader Bruce Starr (R-Dundee) congratulated Drazan, praising her as “a proven leader with a deep understanding of the challenges facing Oregon families” and expressing confidence she will serve with “integrity, energy, and commitment.” Drazan previously served as a state representative for District 51 and will complete Bonham’s term through January 2027.

I can’t wait to see how she fights for Oregon citizens. God Bless her and all of Oregon Citizens
