Happy Valley, OR. — Official Release: Get ready to raise your steins! The Happy Valley Oktoberfest is taking place on Saturday, October 4th, from 11 AM to 7 PM at Happy Valley Park (13770 SE Ridgecrest Rd.) and it’s a celebration you won’t want to miss. This free family-friendly event brings together neighbors, local businesses, and friends to enjoy all things Oktoberfest.
Festival-goers will be entertained with live music from the Doppelbock Band and The Polkatones, thrilling wiener dog and small dog races, pie and donut eating contests, the Paulaner Stein Hoisting Contest for adults 21+, and the ever so famous traditional chicken dance. Families can enjoy the pumpkin patch, petting zoo, wagon rides, fun games, local brews, and a variety of delicious food options.
The event also shines a spotlight on local youth talent through the Happy Valley Youth Entrepreneur Program. Eight young adults will be on site showcasing and selling their handmade items, giving visitors a chance to support local creations.
Attendees can also swing by our booth to learn about the upcoming Happy Valley Community Center Bond on the November ballot. City representatives will be there to share info about Bond Measure 3-626, a proposed $50 million community center near 172nd Avenue and the Scouters Mountain roundabout. If approved, it would bring new recreation, aquatics, and gathering spaces for everyone to enjoy—stop by and ask your questions!
