Clackamas County, OR. — Authorities have identified the man found deceased in the Tualatin River near Brown’s Ferry Park on Sunday, September 28, as 42-year-old Joe Jacob Winn of Tualatin, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.
Deputies say Winn’s body was discovered shortly after 2 p.m. by paddleboarders, who called 9-1-1. Multiple agencies, including the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Tualatin Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and members of the Clackamas County Water Rescue Consortium, responded to the scene. The Sheriff’s Office Dive Team quickly recovered the victim.
Detectives have determined that no foul play is suspected in Winn’s death and confirmed there is no danger to the public. The Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office is handling the final determination of cause of death.
