Eugene – Oregon Secretary of State attended the annual conference hosted by the Oregon Association of Municipal Recorders on September 24. In a statement, Secretary Read said,
Municipal recorders are the heart of Oregon’s towns and cities. Their commitment to carefully documenting and preserving their community’s stories helps maintain trust while keeping our local governments running smoothly.
I’m grateful to the Oregon Association of Municipal Recorders (OAMR) for welcoming me to their conference and for the incredible work these professionals do every day.

Elgin City Administrator Alex McHaddad expressed immense gratitude to the Secretary of State for his participation:
“It is exciting to see one of Oregon’s eminent leaders meet with peers at the local level. We share the duies of elections officer and custodian of public records for our respective constituencies, and it is an honor for city recorders to have our community service celebrated.”
