Kelso, WA. — Official Release: Just after 1pm Friday, Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue (C2FR) and Cowlitz Fire District #6 (Castle Rock) firefighters were dispatched to “Fire alarms sounding, flames inside building” at Three Rivers Christian School located on Alpha Dr,
C2FR Battalion Chief’s initial report advised smoke showing from all vents, working fire and upgraded to a 2nd alarm Commercial Fire. The 2nd alarm added more C2FR and District 6 units along with Longview Fire Department (LFD) and Cowlitz Fire District #5 (Kalama).
Fire crews confirmed building was evacuated with no injuries and were able to knock down the fire within 20 minutes. . Fire was isolated to a large building that had previously housed the Chemistry Classroom. The building suffered significant damage and required several hours of overhaul to confirm full extinguishment of the fire.
Fire is currently under investigation but was not suspicious in nature
2- Ladder Trucks, 5-Fire engines, 1- rescue squad, 1- Water Tender, 1-ambulance and 2-Chief Officer along with over 25 personnel responded
