Happy Valley, OR. — Official Release: Happy Valley Parks and Recreation is excited to share that this year’s Paws in the Park event was a huge success! Held today, Saturday, May 31 at Happy Valley Park, the FREE event brought together hundreds of dog lovers for a fun-filled day of four-legged festivities.
From pup parades and costume contests to agility demonstrations and photo ops, there was something for every dog enthusiast. Attendees enjoyed interactive activities, trick challenges, and explored booths featuring local pet vendors, adoption opportunities, and pet licensing information.
A standout attraction of the day was the debut of Doggy Dream Homes—a showcase of one-of-a-kind, handcrafted doghouses created and donated by local builders and businesses. The silent auction drew enthusiastic bids, and the community showed up in a big way. Together, we raised $920 for Fences for Fido, a nonprofit dedicated to providing safe fencing, shelter, and veterinary care for dogs in need.
Happy Valley Parks and Recreation extends sincere thanks to all who made the event possible, including our incredible volunteers, local vendors, rescue organizations, and the talented builders who brought the Doggy Dream Homes to life. We’re already looking forward to next year—and continuing this joyful celebration of community and canines.
