Harney County, OR. — Official Release: On April 29, 2025, at 11:48 AM, Harney County Dispatch received a report of a victim suffering from stab wounds at the hospital.
Law enforcement launched an investigation, responding immediately and activating the Major Crimes Team. Through information collected, authorities quickly identified and located a suspect. Anthony Johnson of Burns, OR was arrested and lodged at the Harney County Jail for Assault I x 2, Unlawful Use of a Weapon x 2, Recklessly Endangering x 2, Felon in Possession of a Weapon, and probation violation. There is no ongoing threat to the community.
Hines Police Department is leading the investigation, with support from Harney County Sheriff’s Office, Burns Police Department , HCSO Parole & Probation, Oregon State Police and FBI.
