Vancouver, WA. – Official Release: The Historic Trust recently welcomed Juanita Rogers as a member of the nonprofit’s Board of Directors. The Historic Trust manages and cares for the City-owned properties on the Vancouver National Historic Reserve; owns, operates, and stewards the Providence Academy; and hosts free and low-cost events to inspire civic engagement and community celebration.
“Juanita’s professional skills and her demonstrated commitment to our community make her an excellent addition to our high-functioning board,” said Trust President & CEO Temple Lentz.
Rogers, a highly accomplished landscape architect and project manager, has 28 years of professional experience spanning site master planning, urban streetscapes, parks and recreation, open spaces, trails, and waterfront facilities. She leads the Vancouver-based landscape architecture team at MacKay Sposito, a multidisciplinary firm with a 50-year history in Vancouver, providing civil engineering, land surveying, environmental services, landscape architecture, and construction management across the Western U.S.
“In my professional work.” Rogers said, “I have dedicated my career to designing spaces that honor the past while serving the needs of the present and future. Serving on The Historic Trust’s board allows me to expand this commitment, working alongside others who are passionate about preserving Vancouver’s unique heritage.”
Rogers also serves on the board of the Camas Parks Foundation, volunteers with the Watershed Alliance of Southwest Washington, and is a former scout leader with Boy Scouts of America. Rogers and her husband have raised three boys at home in Vancouver.
