Marion County, OR. – This week, Marion County’s Dr. Angela Plowhead announced that she is running for State Senate in District 10. She faces current Senator Deb Patterson, a Democrat and minister who was first elected in 2020. The seat from 2003-2019 by the late Senator Jackie Winters, who capped her career as Senate Republican Leader through the 2018 legislative session. Dr. Plowhead released the following announcement on social media:

Dr. Plowhead’s campaign website describes her background: “Dr. Angela Plowhead began her journey as a U.S. Air Force signals intelligence analyst, laying the foundation for a lifetime of service. She earned an A.A.S. in Applied Science from the Community College of the Air Force, a B.S. in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, and both an M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University, completing her internship at the Vanderbilt/VA consortium and a postdoctoral residency at the Portland VA. Now a Clinical Psychologist specializing in Geropsychology, Angela has dedicated her career to serving veterans.”
