Governor Tina Kotek strikes again in her appalling war on rural Oregon and assault on the rule of law. An Elgin resident sent the Governor a message about some valid local public safety concerns and her office replied that it was a city concern and suggested they contact the Mayor and City Council.

Earth to Tina Kotek: In the past decade you have gutted Oregon’s public safety system and passed pro-crime and anti-property owner legislation that proactively PREVENTS City officials from keeping their communities safe with the expediency they deserve. I know if your staff shows you this post, you are simply going to dismiss me as another ignorant local yokel, but if there is a shred of care in your bones for your rural constituents, you will get in touch with me immediately to start helping instead of hindering public safety. The issue in question already has already resulted in a tragic death.
Recommending that the good people of the Jewel of the Blue Mountains badger Mayor James Johnson about problems you cause is irresponsible at best. You can contact my office in City Hall at 541-437-2253 instead. Your move, Governor.
