Tigard, OR. — Official Release: The City of Tigard, in partnership with The Practice Facility and the Equity Advisory Committee, invites the community to a vibrant celebration in honor of Black History Month. The Building the Future Together: Black History Month Celebration Market and Party will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Practice Facility, located at 14655 SW 72nd Ave, Tigard, OR 97224.
This year’s Black History Month theme, “African Americans and Labor,” highlights the significant contributions of Black individuals across industries and throughout history. The event will celebrate Black excellence and resilience through music, food, art, and local entrepreneurship.

- Live Music and Performances: Featuring a special performance by Cool Nutz, platinum award winner Jonny Cool, and music by DJ Jewler.

- Women’s Group: Led by Cameo Thomas, founder of elateyouth.org.

- Inspiring Speeches: Hear from local community leaders on the significance of Black labor and resilience.
