La Grande, OR, February 17, 2025 – A protest of President Donald Trump’s personnel policies was held in front of La Grande City Hall today. Local liberal leaders in attendance included Union County Democratic Party Vice Chair Randy Knopp, along with a former La Grande Mayor and a former La Grande School Board Member.
In between political chants, protestors held up political signs that the moderator and other members of the crowd highlighted. One such poster depicted a guillotine with a bucket full of bloodied heads belonging to President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Elon Musk. Mr. Musk has a swastika drawn on his forehead. The sign read, “IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES SOME CUTS MAY BE NECESSARY.”
The protest moderator highlighted a forthcoming town hall organized by Congressman Cliff Bentz, R-Ontario, and encouraged activists to attend. Unedited footage from the protest can be viewed below.
