Redmond, OR. — Official Release: On February 5, 2025, at approximately 3:46 P.M., officers from the Redmond Police Department (RPD) along with assistance from the Bend Police Department (BPD), Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), and Oregon State Police (OSP), located the suspect at the Sheperd’s House in Redmond and took him into custody without incident. The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Cameron Whitney, a Bend resident. Cameron Whitney was arrested and will be lodged at the Deschutes County Adult Jail on the crimes of Attempted Assault II and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
The victim of the stabbing at 7-11 was an adult male and suffered minor injuries. He was treated and released at the scene by Redmond Fire & Rescue (RF&R).
