
Vancouver, WA. – Official Release: Vancouver Fire responded to a house fire at 2705 NE Littler Way yesterday afternoon. Alert neighbors heard smoke alarms sounding and then noticed smoke coming from the residence. 911 was called at 3:33 pm after a bystander attempted to see if anyone was home. First arriving units were able to access the home and extinguish the kitchen fire quickly.
During the search, firefighters rescued 3 kenneled dogs within the residence. Homeowners had been alerted during fire department response and arrived shortly after their beloved pets got carried to fresh air. In all, 3 dogs and 2 cats survived the tragic event. Six people are now displaced from their home. Vancouver Fire Marshals office is investigating the cause.
