
Seaside, OR. – Official Release: Seaside Fire & Rescue and Seaside Police responded to a two-alarm structure fire in a split level home located at 385 Alpine St. in Seaside Thursday at 4:29 p.m.
Thick black smoke was visible rising above Sunset Hills from across the city before firefighters arrived and quickly knocked back the flames. Responders found the home fully involved. The fire was declared knocked down at 5:07 p.m.
There were no injuries but ten people were displaced in the fire. Red Cross is coordinating care.
The City of Seaside wishes to thank Seaside Fire, Seaside Police, and Seaside Dispatch for their efforts. Seaside Fire received crucial mutual aid from Cannon Beach, Gearhart, Lewis & Clark, Elsie-Vine Maple, Banks, Hamlet, Astoria, Warrenton, and Nehalem. NW Natural and Seaside Public Works also responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined while an investigation continues.
