Newberg, OR. – Official Release: On October 28th, 2024, the Newberg-Dundee Police Department received a report from a concerned citizen that a teacher who works for the Newberg School District supplied alcohol to a 16-year-old female. The teacher was identified as 41-year-old Joshua Luciani of Lafayette. School resource officers began investigating the report. After a thorough investigation, officers arrested Luciani for one count of Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor, a class A Misdemeanor.
The investigation has been referred to the Yamhill County District Attorney’s office for prosecution. The incident did not take place on school property. The Newberg-Dundee Police Department would like to thank the Newberg School District who cooperated fully during the police investigation. Any questions regarding Luciani’s employment with Newberg Schools should be referred to the school district office.
