
Washington County, OR. – Official Release: Investigators have identified the driver who was killed in the traffic crash on Highway 99 between Southwest Langer Farms Parkway and Southwest Cipole Road as 72-year-old Robert Blomquist of Sherwood.
The family has been notified and has asked for privacy at this time.
Blomquist was traveling Northbound on Highway 99, just passed Southwest Langer Farms Parkway, when he crashed into another motorist in the same direction. Bloomquist lost control of the 2018 Audi Q7 he was driving and crossed over the median into oncoming Southbound traffic, where he crashed head-on into a box truck and did not survive. The box truck then crashed into a dump truck, also going southbound.
The driver of the box truck was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive. No other injuries were reported.
The medical examiner will determine the manner and cause of death.
