
Oakland, CA. – Official Release: On September 7, 2024, at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers observed a black Honda Accord with heavy front window tint and a paper plate near 53rd Ave and International Blvd. When attempting to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle sped off, running multiple red lights initiating a pursuit.
With assistance from the CHP air unit Air-37, the pursuit continued to E 17th St. and Seminary Ave., where four occupants fled on foot. All four were subsequently apprehended. A search of the area led officers to recover multiple firearms, including a stolen handgun, two ghost guns (unserialized and untraceable), one of which had an auto sear, and high-capacity magazines.
The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen, and the driver was booked on several felony and misdemeanor charges, including possession of stolen property and multiple firearms violations.
