Young Republicans of Oregon Endorse Veteran Michael Newgard for House District 40

Mike is the perfect candidate to represent the people of HD 40. He has years of experience helping the people of Clackamas County through his work in the Clackamas County Clerk’s office heading up the property tax appeals office. This experience uniquely qualifies him to be an advocate for change to Oregon’s property tax code and propose a freeze on property taxes for seniors so that they can continue to live in their homes.

Mike also is a veteran who continues to serve our state as an active member of the Oregon National Guard. As a Blackhawk pilot, he flies Medivac, saving hikers on Mt Hood, and fighting fires across our state. He has a heart of servitude, always on the lookout for ways to help make our community stronger and safer.

He not only talks the talk, but he walks the walk. That is why Mike has my support in his campaign to represent the people of HD 40.
