One Transported to Hospital in Stable Condition Following Collision and Heavy Extrication

Vancouver, WA. – Official Release: Shortly before 10pm Sunday evening a 911 caller reported a high impact MVA on SR 14 eastbound just before the Ellsworth exit. Fire crews arrived to find a single occupant inside a vehicle with heavy damage and unable to gain access to the patient due to entrapment. Fire crews worked for 22 minutes to extricate the male and he was transported to PHSW by AMR in stable condition. SR14 EB was closed for approx. 1 hour while crews worked in the roadway to free the occupant. The second vehicle left the scene and was never located, the collision is being investigate by WSP.
