Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Portland’s Cully Neighborhood Identified
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car on Northeast Lombard Street in Portland, OR. The driver called police but left the scene. Investigation ongoing.

Portland, OR. – Official Release: A pedestrian was struck and killed in a collision with a car on Northeast Lombard Street in the Cully Neighborhood.
On Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 3:11a.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of a crash in the 5800 block of Northeast Lombard Street, near the intersection with Northeast Holman Street. When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian, an adult female, deceased at the scene. The involved driver, in a 2015 Nissan Altima, left the scene but called police from nearby.
The Portland Police Traffic Division’s Major Crash Team responded to the scene to investigate the crash. Northeast Lombard Street has been closed for about 5 hours but is expected to reopen shortly.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.

Wow live down this road and it’s crazy the amount accidents esp hit a runs. Time put cameras up don’t u think and maybe some speed humps being how fast cars go. Yesterday seen a car do donut smoking his car up in the intersection on 72nd an Lombard late daytime.
Crazy this street the amount of accidents an hit a runs. Live near 72 & Lombard and time they put in some speed humps or more lights cuz it’s out control at times.
They need put cameras up at 72 intersection for starters. Even had drive by shooting by 73rd.
Late afternoon couple days ago, what looked like newer honda civic or the like decided do donut, smokin tires up in the 72nd Lombard intersection.
