Dallas, OR. – Official Release: On June 27th and 28th, the Economic and Community Development Department hosted the consultant team from Forum Placemaking for a robust series of stakeholder meetings and familiarization tour with Downtown Dallas to kick off the redevelopment process for the property at 791 Main Street.
The team met with 26 community members from across Dallas for seven total hours to discuss the vision for this project and to gain initial insights as to how the building should look, and how it can best serve the community with its potential uses. These meetings were the first step in a public engagement process that will take place for the remainder of this calendar year.
The next step in this process will be a public open house on September 4th from 6pm – 7:30pm where the Forum Placemaking team will present a vision for the site, as well as a draft of some potential designs for the site and its uses. https://www.dallasor.gov/
