Gilliam County, OR. – Official Release: On 07/01/2024 at approximately 1:30 pm, law enforcement in the Columbia River Gorge were alerted to a wanted suspect traveling eastbound on Interstate 84. Information at the time of the broadcast was related to a male who was armed, and connected to an incident in McMinnville.
Two Deputies with our office located the vehicle traveling through Gilliam County, and with assistance from the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, a high risk traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle.
The Interstate near milepost 155 (9 miles West of Boardman) was closed for a short period of time while the suspect was ordered out of the vehicle. The suspect was safely taken into custody for McMinnville Police Department.
