Harney County, OR. – The 2024 Harney County Fair is scheduled for September 3rd – 8th. This will be the 100th anniversary for the Harney County Fair marking a major milestone for the event.
Attendees have a variety of events and activities to choose from. There will be a 4H dog show, beef production & dairy classes, several demonstrations, a family night rodeo, on stage performances, and a live performance from Whip Wilson.
The Family Night Rodeo starts at 7:15pm on Friday September 6th and will include bull riding, a cowhide race, horse roping, barrel racing, and more. There is also team branding that morning and on Saturday night will be the Open Rodeo.
Rylee Wilkinson is the Rodeo Queen for 2024. Her statement expresses her excitement for the upcoming centennial fair. “Hey Harney County! My name is Rylee Wilkinson and I am your 2024 Harney County Fair & Rodeo Queen! I am 18 years old and just graduated from Crane Union High School in the spring of 2023. I was born here in Harney County and raised on the Oregon side of McDermitt, NV just 3 miles from the OR/NV border. I live on my family ranch where I am the 6th generation!! I am very excited to spend the next year representing the 100th anniversary of our Harney County Fair & Rodeo along with all of the amazing people in it.”
