Portland OR. – Official Release: On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 1:23 a.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to a shooting call in the 13000 block of Southeast Stark Street. When officers arrived, they found a man who was suffering from a gunshot wounds. Officers at the scene provided trauma first aid until paramedics arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital, where he later died.
The Portland Police Homicide detectives have responded to the scene to investigate. During the investigation, Southeast 130th Avenue will be closed from Southeast Stark Street to Southeast Alder Street.
The identity of the victim will be released after the Medical Examiner has confirmed the cause of death and after family members have been notified. The PIO is not responding to the scene. More information will be released when appropriate.
